Apply to be a Springworks Scholar by July 15th, advancing women and minorities in the venture capital community

Springworks, a San-Francisco based non-profit focused on increasing diversity in the venture community, has opened its Scholar applications to students starting business school in the Fall of 2011. Springworks was founded by Kellogg alum, Jorge Calderon, an investment management professional and social impact evangelist.

Applications are due by midnight (PDT) on July 15, 2011. Below is a description and links to more information:

Our first initiative, the Scholars program, is designed to identify, develop & support ‘under-targeted’ (currently defined as minority or female) business school students interested in either venture capital management or start-up management.  This two-year program is intended to augment the resources provided to students at their respective universities with additional coaching, mentorship, peer support, curriculum and experiential learning.
